Whether you’re trying to make healthier choices or spend more time trying new things, resolutions are great for making important lifestyle changes. On the other hand, they can also be hard to keep. We want to help you achieve your goals, which is why we’re sharing three tips to help you make your goals last all year long.
Tip #1: Pen and Paper
Write your goals down! Make a list! Do whatever you can to actively write your resolutions. The simple act of making a list can be a great motivation factor. You can even consider keeping a “Resolution Journal,” in which you track your daily progress.
Tip #2: Tell Your Friends
Go public with your resolutions. You don’t have to announce it to everyone you meet, but making your resolutions known to the closest people in your life can help with accountability.
Tip #3: Expect Mistakes
This one’s a big one. You’re not going to be perfect every time, so once you accept that fact, you’ll be a lot less hard on yourself when you fall back. Chalk it up and try again tomorrow!
